Tammy Leigh Sparacino

Clinical Perfusion and Autotransfusion Manager with HET since 2019
Tammy is a practicing perfusionist in the Houston area with experience in cardiothoracic surgery and ECMO management including neonate, pediatric and adult populations. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston-Downtown with a B.S. in Biological and Physical Sciences in 2001 and finished her perfusion training at Texas Heart Institute in 2003. She has extensive experience in both academic and community hospital settings. She enjoys group fitness classes and distance running. She loves a good mystery and is a coffee enthusiast.
Austin Sullivan
Equipment Resource Manager and Autotransfusionist
Austin Sullivan began his career in the medical field as an anesthesia technologist in 2010 at Methodist Willowbrook. Austin Joined HET in 2014 as an autotranfusionist. Austin has had the privilege to grow with HET as the Autotranfusionist Manager. Austin enjoys time on the beach with his wife and two kids.
Austen Dittmar

Austen grew up west of Houston in Columbus, TX. After high school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Sam Houston State University in 2011. He just started his career in the medical field with HET as an autotransfusionist in early 2022 and has enjoyed everything about it. In his off time, he enjoys duck hunting, golf, and sports.
Jack Beeny

Jack Beeny began autotransfusion work in 2018 and has loved it ever since. When not working, I spend my time caring for animals in need, making art, and studying yoga. My goal in life is to leave the world a better place than how I found it.
Jon Bolkovac
Staff Autotransfusionist with HET since 2019
Jonathan Bolkovac is certified through the International Board of Blood Management and AmSECT as a Perioperative Blood Management Technician. Jon has recently joined HET, coming from a perfusionist assistant position at the University of Alabama. There he was responsible for assisting the perfusionists with setting up and tearing down circuits for cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-aortic balloon pump set up and transport, extracorporeal membrane oxygen decannulation in the operating room, ABG&ACT blood testing, and autologous blood salvage. Jon has eight years of experience as a clinical technician.
Jon enjoys a good Netflix binge at home with his wife and children but can also be found out and about sampling all of Houston’s culinary offerings.
Margarita Estrada

Margarita is just starting her career in the area of Autotransfusion and has learned everything in stride. Margarita loves spending her spare time with family and friends and doing CrossFit.
Chris Hernandez

Chris left behind a career in welding to start his career in the medical field as an Autotransfusionist with HET. He was born and raised in Katy, Texas. His hobbies are lifting weights and collecting sneakers. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with family and friends and watching sports.
Stefany Ichaso

Stefany Ichaso Barrientos graduated from the career of business administration in Bolivia with more than 6 years of experience working in a cardiovascular clinic in that country. performing studies of holter, electrocardiogram, tiltest, echocardiogram. She started with HET in 2018 where she was trained to practice as an autotransfusionist. Stefany loves to travel and meet different cultures.

Reggidor started his clinical career as a Hemodialysis Technician. He has been an Autotransfusionist with HET for almost 3 years. In his free time Reggidor likes to go fishing and bowling.
Paula McNair
Clinical Educator, Trainer, and Staff Autotransfusionist with HET since 2013
Paula McNair is an Autotransfusionist for Houston Extracorporeal Technologies, where she processes autologous blood in operating rooms at numerous hospitals in Houston and the Dallas areas. In addition, Paula also specializes in Platelet Rich Plasma and Bone Marrow Aspiration therapies. Before joining HET in 2013, Paula began her ATS career in 2012 with Advanced Blood Care. Paula has now accomplished a role within HET as a clinical educator and trainer. In her spare time, Paula is a motorcycle enthusiast and avid saltwater fisherman.
Romeo Pablo
Staff Autotransfusionist with HET since 2014
Romeo started his clinical career at the Bureau of Research and Laboratory as a Bacteriological laboratory Technician in 1980. From 1981-1985 he was a staff Perfusionist for the Philippine Heart Center for Asia. He then went on to be a KSA Perfusionist at the Jeddah Heart Institute from 1985-2002. Finally, before starting his career at HET Romeo was a Perfusionist at King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital Jeddah in Saudi Arabia from 2002-2014. Romeo likes spending his free time playing chess and bowling.
Lindsey Robert

Lindsey is a Houston native and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She has always known the medical field was right for her and currently has her sights set on going back to school to become a perfusionist. In the meantime, she greatly values her training and work as an autotransfusionist with HET. When she is not working, Lindsey enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with her cat.

Kat is a member of the Dallas Autotransfusion team. Kat started her clinical career at HET. Kat is learning the clinical aspect of Autotransfusion and helping to grow the Dallas team. In her spare time, Kat enjoys movies and sporting activities.
Darcy Sullivan

Darcy started her clinical career at HET and has learned the clinical aspect of Autotransfusion very quickly. Darcy is currently helping to grow the business in Dallas and is currently residing there to continue her career. In her free time Darcy is an avid reader and a video game enthusiast.
