HET was founded in 2009 providing Emergency Department physician ECMO training during the H1N1 pandemic. Today, we provide open heart perfusion and ECMO services in eight Houston area hospitals, including the medical center along with Autotransfusion services in over 20 hospitals and surgery centers.

HET prides itself on professionalism and accountability. The majority of our clinical staff have over 20 years of perfusion experience and some over 30 and even 40 years of experience. We have been incorporating younger team members so we can continue to grow over the coming years and to teach our younger colleagues how to provide high level, professional and expert care to patients HET has the privilege of caring for, for years to come.

We also differentiate ourselves from other perfusion service companies in two significant ways; The first is by being an EXTRACORPOREAL THERAPEIS company, performing services for Open Hearts, ECMO, VAD, AngioVac, Isolated limb, Biologics, Autotransfusion, and also CVVH. We are very involved in the critical care unit as well as the operating room and cathlab. The second is through our commitment to education.
